Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established plant and agriculture company in Leicester. The Preventative Maintenance Engineer role comes with a basic salary of £11.00 - £19.00 per hour depending on experience with fantastic opportunities for progression.

  • Hours: 40 per week

Key Preventative Maintenance Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and diagnose technical problems with equipment
  • performing regularly scheduled maintenance activities to help prevent unexpected failures in the future
  • Service a wide variety of machines
  • Analysis of repetitive equipment failures
  • Estimation of maintenance costs and evaluation of alternatives
  • Ability to work independently
  • Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • Request parts efficiently and effectively
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
  • Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • Take responsibility for health and safety
Minimum Technician Requirements:
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good technical knowledge
  • Must have a Driving License
  • The ability to work without supervision
  • Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work
