The faculty is renowned for its high-quality teaching and recently underwent a £12 million investment in faculty facilities, including industry-standard laboratoriesand equipment.RoleWe are currently seeking to recruit a Placement Administrator within our HLS Placement Team. The purpose of this role is to work as part of the busy Placements team and to provide an excellent level of support and advice to students who are undertaking mandatoryplacements as part of their studies.This will be a busy role liaising with students, placement providers, and academic colleagues every day. You will develop your knowledge on placement delivery within the programmes that we support and provide administrative support to our busy team of Coordinatorsand Officers. You will act as the first point of contact for the placement service and provide a high-quality reception and information service to students and other visitors. You will be responsible for accurately processing high volumes of student placementtravel claims and evaluation forms, alongside managing our busy central email inboxes and telephone line.The role is full time (37 hours per week) on a fixed term contract until 31.07.2023. The role can be carried out on a hybrid basis, number of days on campus is negotiable with the manager.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills as the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues are important in this role. They will also demonstrate strong organisational skills as a supportivemember of the Placements team and have the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy when processing high volumes of travel claims and evaluation forms.In return you will join a busy, caring, and resourceful team at DMU, working at the heart of employability and the student experience, with opportunities for professional development.
