Job Description

Location: Leicester, Midlands (covering Northants and Leicestershire)Salary: Vehicle and fuel card + separate out of hours payments Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm 40 hours per week (Plus Out of Hours Rota)Interview date: TBC (may involve On-line/Telephone)PA Housing is an award winning provider of affordable, quality homes, but our business is about more than property - it’s about people. The role is for a Multi-trade and you will be carrying a number of repairs in different trades. These repairs are varied; please see the Role Profile for more detail about a typical week (although no 2 weeks are ever the same as there is plenty of variety) and you can be travelling around for small jobs some day, including material sourcing. You need to be very self organised to succeed in delivering a first class serve to our customersWe are in particular looking for a multi trade whose first trade’ is plastering for this post.Please note if you only have one trade to offer, then this role is not suitable for youJob Requirements:

  • Carry out quality and efficient building repairs to both unoccupied and occupied properties, working safely and respecting customers at all times.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Customers.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Plan and prioritise your own workload
  • A full drivers licence
  • We really want to hear from you if;
  • Have experience in plastering, i.e. boarding, patching, bonding, skimming, tanking, external render, pebbledash, Tyrolean etc.,
  • Have the ability to carry out most general day to day housing repairs such as brickwork, carpentry, painting or plumbing.
  • Have experience of housing maintenance/ remedial works and have experience of Decent Homes Kitchen and Bathroom programmes.
  • You have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in the Building Trade.

  • This role requires the successful candidate to complete a basic DBS check.
