As our Mechanical Engineer you will be required to work only 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 36-hours, rotating days and nights. Basic salary of £37,000.00, with the potential to top this up to around £45,000.00 covering team holidays and over time on projects!Our shift pattern enables you to get 8 rostered days off in a row per month! Thats without using any of your 16 days holiday, plus your birthday off and any worked Bank Holidays added to your bookable annual leave. No rostered Saturday night shift.we have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Leicester (LE3). You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary.We are a marketing communication company, employing over 400 staff. we supports such top brands including Tesco, Sky, Avon, and British Gas, with their strategic marketing needs.Key responsibilities and duties of our Mechanical Engineer;- Studying engineering drawings and manuals to enable effective repairs and replacement of parts.- Testing faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks- Repairing or adjusting equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts.- Setting up and testing industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.- Ordering replacement parts, keeping our parts store stocked correctly.Our Mechanical Engineer will have the following skills and experience;- Apprenticeship served and completed, able to demonstrate this at interview staged- Well versed in Continuous Improvement Techniques- Able to work on your own initiative- Ability and happy to work alone, running their own shift and time management- Understand engineering drawings and have previously worked in a continuous production environment, with a maintenance background.- Preferably from a FMCG background
