Job Description

Job Title: Material Sourcing Manager Location: LeicesterSalary: £38,000-£42,000The Role Our client is one of the UKs leading independent waste & resource management companies, providing sustainable consultancy, collection, recycling, energy recovery, and disposal services for households and businesses across the midlands and beyond.You will be responsible for the efficient sourcing of profitable materials into internal and external disposal points.Candidates should possess proven business development/procurement of commodities experience, ideally from the Waste and Recycling Sector.You will be responsible for building and delivering a profitable pipeline of single-stream material opportunities to be collected/or delivered at the right quality specification into the Commodity Refinement Centre in the Midlands.Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for profitable growth and retention of incoming materials, and materials tipped at third-party locations.
  • Identifying reciprocal trading opportunities.
  • Developing and delivering equipment and technology innovations to clients.
  • Identifying strategic partners for the offtake of materials.
  • Implementing and executing a robust compliance procedure, including relatable materials.
  • Supply chain management and growth of our Equipment Offering, including balers, compactors, etc.
  • Ownership of Confidential Shredding strategy and growth of this area of the business.
  • Liaise closely with commercial, cross functions teams and key stakeholders within the company.
  • Ensure all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures.
  • Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others.
  • And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
    • The Candidate
  • A strong relationship builder.
  • Waste Industry Experience and an understanding of waste legislation.
  • Supply Chain Development experience.
  • Evidence of exceeding sales targets.
  • Purchasing of commodities (1-year experience preferred)
  • IOSH, NEBOSH.
  • Waste FM Experience and waste Broker Experience.
  • Knowledge of Sustainability.
  • Sales Growth, Account Management, analytical skills, computer skills.
