Marketing & Communications OfficerLeicester£28,000 - £29,500 p.a. DOE

The Company:ER Recruitment is working exclusively with a non-profit charity who provide compassionate care for patients, their family and carers. They offer a variety of specialist care, tailored to each patient. The team of staff may be small, but each individual’s impactand contribution is unmeasurable.Role & Responsibilities of the Marketing & Communications Officer:
  • Support in delivering strategy outputs to ensure events and activity is effectively promoted.
  • Create plans to capture stories which are appropriate to income generation, awareness of care services, volunteering, workforce training, our centre for excellence and other activities.
  • Gather stories of individuals’ experiences at all levels of engagement with the organisation in a caring and responsible way.
  • Responsible for taking stories from internal staff and volunteers in support of the vision and income generation goals.
  • Form strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and all its groups and subsidiaries in relation to marketing, storytelling and service promotion.
  • Ensure that all stories are written effectively and in line with organisational standards.
  • Develop processes to store and categorise stories appropriately, with regular audit and review.
  • Ensure that all stories are used as agreed with the story provider (or their representative) in line with organisational goals. Strict approvals/consent are to be given before story use, and all stories are to be handled with the care and love as appropriateto the organisation.
  • Be responsible for creatively expressing stories and broadening the opportunity for storytelling across the organisation.
  • Be a brand ambassador, providing advice on consistent use of the organisation’s brand and supporting the development of the brand guidelines.
  • Provide and approve tailored content to campaigns and promotions in line with project plans.
  • Liaise with all levels of storytellers during the process including close-contact and feedback during the promotional period. Ensure all feedback is documented, reviewed and stored appropriately.
  • Contribute to creating engaging social media content and campaigns, and analysing this impact.
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on projects/campaigns to stakeholders and appropriate committees and groups.
  • Support copywriting and proofreading for different marketing collateral, ensuring the appropriate emotion and tone of voice is used.
  • Support the design, writing, publication and scheduling of web content in relation to storytelling.
  • Provide event management support. This may include working outside of regular contracted hours as required.
  • Monitor external marketing and charity trends and provide insights and analysis to help inform our future strategy.
  • Represent the business events which will include networking, public speaking and presentations. This will require working outside of contracted hours.
About You as the Marketing & Communications Officer:
  • Excellent storyteller, ability to create impactful and engaging real life stories.
  • Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Confident copywriter with proven experience
  • Someone who is compassionate and empathetic.
  • Organised individual with high attention to detail
