Job Description

This Management Accountant position requires a diligent and detail-oriented individual, who is passionate about the retail industry and capable of maintaining the financial health and processes of a vibrant retail company.Client DetailsOur client is a prominent player in the retail industry with a workforce of over 500. Located in Leicester, they are well-established, boasting a diverse and dedicated team committed to providing top-notch retail services.Description

  • Handle daily accounting tasks, including preparation and processing of payments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Produce financial reports and statements to guide decision making.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Comply with all financial regulations and standards within the retail industry.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Drive process improvements for more efficient and streamlined accounting processes.
ProfileA successful Management Accountant should have:
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications.
