Job Description

Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a growing Leicester based business to appoint a Management Accountant into their established team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, youll be joining a team of 2 Management Accountantswith a focus on driving improvements across the Finance team to support a period of growth and transformation for the business.Based out of the Leicester office, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent Management Accounting skills, alongside being an Excel whizz! Youll be joining the business at a crucial time, with lots of development opportunities available as thebusiness grows.Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of management accounts,
  • Supervision of a small team,
  • Control account reconciliations,
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Accruals & prepayments,
  • Inventory controls,
  • Managing fixed assets register,
  • General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting,
  • VAT returns,
  • Assist with completion of month-end, ad-hoc weekly / monthly reporting,
About You:
  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA, QBE candidates with impressive experience will be considered
  • Experience of imports & exports would be beneficial
  • Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation
  • Excellent planning, organisation skills and adherence to tight deadline
  • Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel (pivot charts/tables, macros, data models), Sage, Xero and, MS Dynamics 365 (ERP).
