Job Description

Thorn Baker EFM are looking for an experienced handy person , caretaker or facilities assistant with an enhanced DBS to carry out maintenance works for a charity in Leicester .They are looking for someone with an enhanced DBS to work Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with the high chance of the role becoming permanent for the right person .If you are available immediately have an enhanced DBS and want to join this friendly company on a temp to perm basis then apply via the link.This role is working in a Hospice in the Leicester area it is very easily accessible from the City centre. You will be carrying out maintenance of communal areas and bedrooms within the building , patience and understanding is needed within this role andit is a very rewarding place to workThey are looking for either a handy person or a maintenance engineer with electrical qualificationsLocations and Hours :Leicester Monday - Friday 9am -5pmThe payment is weekly every Friday and is paying £12-£15ph dependent on experience and qualificationsDuties

  • Co-ordinate and complete when due planned preventative maintenance activities allocated to you. These could be either in-house or subcontracted services. Ensuring that any/all recommendations following a planned maintenance visit are followed throughto completion.
  • In the absence of another Facilities Officer, you will be expected to assist with the completion of their planned preventative maintenance activities as they fall due. You will be trained to deliver all of the PPMs.
  • Working with other Operational team members to carry out...
  • Weekly fire alarm tests
  • Monthly standby generator tests
  • Annual guttering cleaning
  • Be member of fire team, be trained in the use of the fire panel and fire extinguishers.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance jobs as they come in, prioritising jobs and completing them in a safe and timely manner.
  • Carry out minor electrical installations and electrical repairs ensuring compliance to the Electricity at Work Regs. 1989.
