Job Description

VS454/10Maintenance Coordinator / Scheduler - Student AccommodationLeicesterSalary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus up to 20% Discretionary Bonus.Hours: Mon – Friday 9am – 6pm, with ability to work flexible hours (including some weekends)My client provides high quality student housing, in both shared houses and apartments, in 24 cities across the UK. They are the largest single provider of 2nd and 3rd year student accommodation in the UK, leading the way in offering exceptional student accommodation.Now looking to recruit a maintenance coordinator to work out of their Leicester office.About the job: You will be responsible for allocating and scheduling maintenance and compliance jobs with internal maintenance managers and 3rd party contractors across the company’s property portfolio.Key responsibilities

  • Prioritise and schedule reactive and pro-active maintenance to deliver service SLAs. Where required, to apply technical knowledge and experience as well as work with the surveyor and maintenance teams to assess the most appropriate internal or externalcontractor or solution to achieve service levels.
  • Plan compliance certification and remedial work as required.
  • Manage maintenance manager diaries considering holidays & absence as required.
  • Provide input to regular capacity utilisation and cost reviews.
  • Monitor the PPM schedule for both in house staff and contractors.
  • Monitor SLA’s (‘Service Level Agreements’) and dates for PPMs ensuring dates are met for compliance actions.
  • Working with Supplier Management team to ensure Health and Safety compliance is met from contractors.
  • Monitoring of costs in line with budgets.
  • Contractor liaison
  • Support the team and others on block management issues.
  • Undertake regular audits of PPM’s and report to business.
  • Ensure administration relating to the portfolio is maintained in line with business KPI’s (‘Key Performance Indicators’) and SLA’s
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to deliver improved capacity utilisation and operational efficiency.
Experience & skills
  • We’re ideally looking for an experienced maintenance coordinator / scheduler, property manager or similar.
  • An organised, structured, and pro-active approach.
  • A team player.
  • Highly IT literate and have experience of using an online scheduling system.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
