Junior Electrical and Controls Engineer c£25k to £35k neg dep expEast Midlands (Leicester / Nottingham / Coventry area)Our Leicester based client can demonstrate almost half a centurys expertise in the design, development and manufacture of bespoke automation and robotic systems for a diverse range of industry sectors and are regarded by many in the industry as one of theleading automation system solution providers in the whole of the UK. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a Graduate / Junior Electrical and Controls Engineer to complement their establishedand successful team and assist in the delivery of innovative special purpose automation machinery projects.Reporting to the Controls Manager, the successful candidate will be extensively involved in all aspects of PLC software development and electrical hardware design activities associated with innovative automation systems production and will undertake a rangeof activities that will include the design, PLC & HMI programming, build and wiring of electrical control panels and machinery for an expansive range of automation systems.Other responsibilities for this Junior Electrical and Controls Engineer will include (but not be limited to) the accurate creation and completion of associated supporting document and paperwork (such as circuit drawings, FDS/HDS/SDS creation in line withcustomer requirements, schematic layouts, CE & UKCA documentation as well as installation instruction documentation for use by engineers in the field) as well as performing hands on testing and troubleshooting activities, wiring panels and fault-finding onthe shopfloor with fellow engineers and undertaking the specification of associated materials required.Additionally, you may be required to undertake occasional visits to customer sites or project locations in both the UK and Europe to provide additional resource support, so a full UK driving licence is essential for the position.To be considered for this varied and challenging Junior Electrical and Controls Engineer role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will realistically demonstrate an interest in working within an electrical or controls engineering and developmentenvironment and knowledge of controls design experience, and you will possess relevant engineering qualifications (realistically HNC or above in an electrical or controls discipline) and experience in the use of EPlan or a similar design package, with familiarityof SISTEMA and associated machinery directives and relevant safety legislation associated with special purpose machinery development proving distinctly advantageous.Our client is a progressive and refreshingly dynamic organisation with a strong emphasis on client relationships, and they recruit only the highest calibre ambitious people with drive and enthusiasm able to work in a friendly and supportive environment wherecommitment, flexibility, integrity and a sense of humour are highly valued.Due to timescale constraints, applications will ONLY be considered on behalf of candidates either based in or able to relocate at short notice to the East Midlands region, who are eligible to work in the UK with immediate effect and hold a full UKdriving licence.Contact the Junior Engineering Recruitment Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on or email your cv in the strictest confidence to for further details.
