Job Description

IT Services & Support Manager (Hybrid flexibility) - Establish your own small team and department - lead in making technical changes and improvements and look to the longer term to evolve and grow in your role. COVENTRYBrilliant salary and opportunity for someone making the next step (up to £45,000 + benefits & genuinly fab culture )The role is to manage the IT service provision for a not for profit SME organisation focussed on helping UK industry develop sustainable technology. (Managing at the moment, a team of 1) You will provide technical support, manage external suppliers of IT solutions and look after office/work from home hardware and software packages. It is an end-to-end role, ranging from developing our future IT strategy to managing outsourced servicesto hands-on support to staff.Live 2022 Q4 vacancy - to start as quickly as possible (post notice) Once up and running, what will you be responsible for

  • Ensure that the IT infrastructure supports the business requirement both currently, and inthe future, including development of our IT Strategy (including hardware, software andoutsourced services)
  • Drive forward recommendations from our recent third-party Microsoft Cloud tenancyreview, working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to improve security andgovernance
  • Manage external IT support contracts and services, including the outsourced provision ofour Microsoft 365 cloud-based platform and their technical/helpdesk support
  • Identify and propose a pipeline of IT business improvements, supporting roll out of new applications
  • Act as the first point of escalation for IT issues with external providers, including management and escalation of tickets
  • Support applications and databases through 3rd party supplier (e.g. Dynamics CRM, SQLServer, Office 365, Sage, etc.)
  • Evaluate and coordinate hardware procurement; maintain asset registers; set up starters/leavers, liaising with our outsourced provider; set-up IT/AV equipment for meetings and events; support all staff with ad hoc queries
  • Manage cyber security risks through 3rd party IT support
We are not necessarily looking for the complete person experience but attitude and ability to grow is therefor key:
  • Experience of understanding, managing and maintaining IT systems.
  • Able to implement new IT systems
  • IT change project management experience
  • Budget and resource management capability
  • Experience working within an operation led or IT administration environment
  • IT or Business-related Degree and relevant post qualification experience
