THE OPPORTUNITY:Macildowie are currently recruiting for an Import and Export Administrator working for a business based in Leicester.We are looking for an experienced import-export administrator to manage aspects of our import-export chain, you will be responsible for organizing and providing efficient co-ordination of all relevant inbound/outbound shipments.You should be able to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. You should also be able to promptly resolve customs issues and have strong negotiation skills.This is a permanent full time position. THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Carrier co-ordination/management and issue resolution.Customs clearance issue resolution.Co-ordination of outbound containers including all documentation.Incoming sea freight co-ordination.Validation of commodity codes.Hazardous products co-ordination & managementCo-ordination of incoming pallet deliveries into the warehouse operation. EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Previous experience in import/export role EssentialIdeally experienced of Sage X3 or other ERP systems.A clear understanding of ECCN and HS Codes.Intermediate in Microsoft Excel.Ability to prioritise & organise own work in a busy environment.Accuracy and high attention to detail.Ability to apply initiative to solve problems.Self-motivated, positive and proactive attitude.Flexible and adaptable decision making.Good written and verbal communication skills.Able to work as part of a team or independently.Good organisational/planning skills.Excellent numeracy skills.Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
