Job Description

ILS LeadAttractivePermanent - Defence and Aviation SystemsAn ILS Lead is required to join a market leading Innovative Defence Systems and Aviation Company. The ILS Lead will lead the effort for ILS activities for the company. The ILS Lead will interface with the Prime and Support Organisations. The ILS Lead will plan, manage and be the SME for all ILS activities. The ILS Lead will act as the primary point of contact for all ILS supportability interfaces with the customer. The ILS Lead will manage the ILS activities of all subcontractors and manage all ILS activities to support the service.ILS LeadKey Responsibilities

  • Be the company focal point and expert for all ILS activities and disciplines.
  • Manage the ILS Control Account for and co-ordinate activities with the customer.
  • Work with LSAR, ARM, Data Modules, Reliability, Cost Modelling, Bids and Proposals.
  • Establish and manage the configuration management, risk, and obsolescence.
  • Manage engineering changes, data management, trend reporting and investigations.
  • Manage and conduct all ILS activities in accordance with company operating procedures.
  • Develop and manage the ILS team to meet the ILS tasks and objectives.
  • Represent ILS as the SME at regular customer meetings as defined in Statement of Work.
  • Plan, manage and report on ILS activities.
  • Oversee and input where necessary ILS engineering and data creation.
Technical Skills and Experience for ILS Lead
  • Degree level qualified and or equivalent experience in an Engineering related subject.
  • Experience within a similar MOD Programme focusing on Airborne and Electronics ILS.
  • MOD experience Essential. (Airborne & Electronics ILS Desirable).
  • Significant experience and working knowledge of all Integrated Logistics Standards.
  • Previous experience in delivering ILS Services to the MOD.
  • Good knowledge of Processes and ILS Tools knowledge to deliver Services.
  • Ability to conduct ILS engineering tasks to schedule and budget.
  • Previous experience in successfully managing small teams.
  • Self-Motivated, reliable, accuratewith good attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills at all levels and capable of operating in a matrix organisation.
  • Ability to influence and communicate well in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Prepared to travel to other sites at various locations within the UK (regular basis).
  • Prepared to travel out of UK (occasional basis).
  • Able to develop business supportability proposals.
  • Experience with Technical Publications and ILS Logistics experience.
  • Defence Supply Chain knowledge is desirable.
  • Reliability and Maintainability experience is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of MoD Asset Management database and DRACAS is Desirable.
