This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to join our small but busy Hydrant Maintenance Team to deliver an inspection programme and maintain critical firefighting equipment for operational fire crews.The successful candidate will be involved in planning daily work schedules, driving a service vehicle between fire hydrant locations and working outdoors. You will also be responsible for testing and maintaining fire hydrants on public/private water mainswithin the public highway throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. You will need to be able to use your Health and Safety knowledge to follow risk assessments, assess risk and maintain correct manual handling techniques.We are looking for someone with excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people at all levels. You will need to have good communication skills and able to prioritise workloads to meet timeframes set by theorganisation. You will evaluate the quality and effectiveness of critical firefighting equipment and ensure safe and best practices throughout.
