Job Description

Job Title: HR Business PartnerLocation: Leicester, Hybrid/Remote basedSalary: CompetitiveJob Type: Permanent, full timeCTS (Construction Testing Solutions), is a leading provider of on-site and laboratory testing services. Since inception, we have established a reputation for excellence in servicing the UK construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries.About the role:As a commercially focused HRBP, you will be pro-active implementing policies, processes and activities across the organization, and developing strong relationships.You will be at ease with high-level meetings delivering against strategic HR goals whilst supporting the leadership team with ongoing change management processes.You will be working with multiple stakeholders across a number of legal entities, so being able to flex style, join up the dots and identify sounds solutions will be essential.Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering timely and professional HR advice and guidance to employees and managers in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Experience of developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing a range of HR working and employment practices.
  • Depth of experience in managing change - restructures, TUPE transfers, outsourcing/insourcing.
  • Support the implementation and execution of strategic people and organisation initiatives for their client groups.
  • Support and embed organisational change, ensuring that new people initiatives are championed in their client group.
  • Provides guidance to managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance matters, identifying opportunities and anticipating risks, escalating them to the Head of HR, or legal team as appropriate.
  • Ensures that HR processes are executed in alignment with expectations and that process touch points are properly owned/executed including employee lifecycle i.e. on/off boarding, on and off-cycle changes to terms and conditions, colleague engagement etc.
  • On an ongoing and cyclical basis: lead, coach and guide areas of: Performance Management, Salary reviews, Organisation and Talent Reviews.
  • Enables managers to become self-sufficient with regard to day-to-day employee matters, providing expert guidance on sensitive or high-profile employee relations matters as well as those with wider organisation or strategic impact.
  • Understand the people metrics for the assigned business area including headcount, performance, talent, attrition, spans of control, engagement etc and uses data to inform HR actions and priorities.
  • Responsibility for HR and business improvement people projects to drive the business forward and to keep developing the culture.
  • Sound project and people management skills.
  • A trusted partner and advisor.
  • Depth and breadth of employment law knowledge and ability to interpret and apply it.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven HRBP with previous experience in a similar role/sector such as engineering, manufacturing, service sector.
  • A CIPD qualification - Level 5 minimum.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • An action-oriented individual, who is solutions focused, can manage multiple priorities, and deliver results on time.
  • A good team player, with attention to detail and good problem-solving skills that follows processes in place and prioritises business improvement.
  • Experience working as an HRBP, HRM or in a generalist role within a commercial organisation.
  • Sound working knowledge of employment law, policies and procedures.
  • Involved and passionate, but able to exercise objectivity and detachment towards high quality outcomes.
  • Able to challenge and influence at a senior leadership level.
  • Is accountable for project and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and tech savvy - MS Office Suite, TEAMS.
  • Driving Licence required to travel to site locations.
  • Able to work at pace, highly organised. Happy working standalone but also as part of a small highly connected team.
