HGV Night Shift TechnicianLeicester area£16.50 to £18.50 per hour depending on experience21.00pm - 07.00am Tuesday to FridayAlecto Recruitment are looking to hear from experienced HGV Technicians and Fitters interested in working for a client of ours in the Leicester area.The RoleMaintenance and repair of vehicle chassis and cab to meet current legislation Health and Safety and VOSA requirements both in the workshop and on the roadsideMaintenance and repair of waste handling equipment, including electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systemsCarry out scheduled service and inspections to meet company Operators licence commitmentsComplete service and repair documentation and records in accordance with company requirements and standardsOverhaul of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other workshop equipmentMaintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper basedAssist the foreman with H&S issues to maintain OHSAS18001 standard already achieved, including reviewing risk assessments, COSHH, compliance database etc, along with the day-to-day operations of the workshop.RequirementsThe core skills and experience required are:Appropriate technical qualifications.MOT preparationVehicle computer DiagnosticsHydraulicsHGV licence preferable but not essential, fully funded training can be provided for the right candidateExcellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures.Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision making and problem-Solving skills.Experience as a mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment.We are happy to consider applications from Candidates from the REME or armed forces as a Vehicle Mechanic.Full UK Driving LicencePersonal Qualities:Attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skillsFlexible and proactive attitudeDriven and positiveExcellent customer service skillsAble to manage multiple tasksThis is an excellent opportunity working with a company who will offer a rewarding and progressive career.
