Skilled youth workers build relationships that support young people to explore their personal, social, and educational development.Youth work enables young people to develop their voice, influence, and place within society.As the national body for youth work, NYA has a dual function. We are the professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. In line with our charitymission and aims, we also champion youth work through research, advocacy, campaigns, and programmes.About the RoleThe Head of Policy and Partnerships will work closely with the Director of Policy and Communications, the policy team, wider colleagues, and external stakeholders to influence policy and ensure that the voice of the NYA and the youth sector is driving policyand funding decisions. This is a pivotal role to help deliver National Youth Agencys mission in a long term, sustainable way to improve the lives of this and future generations.The role leads a new and expanded team whose role is to influence national and local policy to champion great youth work and its value and importance for young people across England. It requires strong relationship-building, project management, report writingand influencing skills, as well as a proven background of problem-solving and working within a complex multi-stakeholder environment.Were looking for an energetic leader and role model, able to organise, inspire and motivate people to achieve great outcomes; both within your own team, across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
