Job Description

Head of Engagement (Environmental Charity)Full time, permanent Leicester£42,500 dependant on skillsOur client is looking to recruit a driven and inspirational people manager to help take their engagement work to the next level.The role:The Head of Engagement will provide inspirational and effective leadership, including the setting and delivery of strategic goals, providing clear direction, and managing change for people engagement, communications and fundraising. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will build an impactful, creative and motivated team who will take full responsibility for engagement, education, communications, income and marketing.About you:Candidates should have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience of marketing and communications within a charity setting, including developing income generation strategies. Experience in community and education outreach work would be a huge advantage.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in fundraising, marketing or communications or the equivalent through experience.
  • A proven track record in achieving fundraising targets including income from legacies, trusts and foundations, corporate and individual donors.
  • Demonstrable strategic and operational planning, budgetary management and reporting skills.
  • Experience in developing and managing teams responsible for supporter recruitment and development, philanthropy, marketing, public relations communications, and/or education outreach.
  • A solid understanding of traditional and digital marketing channels, platforms, trends and metrics.
  • Experience of managing relationships and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to conservation and the aims, objectives and values of the trust.
