Head of Data & BI / Data & Business Intelligence DirectorLeicester / Home based (plus some travel between group sites)£80,000-£90,000 pa.The Role SummaryThe Head of Data & Business Intelligence will be an expert leader able to drive the vision for Data and Business Intelligence. They will define and manage the journey from a variety of reporting silos using historically mismatched data sources, to a sharedservice that supports local, central and combined reporting and drives high quality outputs based on consistent and safe self-service use of data across the group, to ensure business insights based on one version of the truth.This influential new role will be responsible for managing a wide range of stakeholders and shaping the central data strategy, working with data owners and group IT to agree consistent approaches to data definition, storage, extraction and management.A critical part of the role will be to create an expert bridge between business area owners with local reporting teams and the relevant teams within IT who currently control the extraction of data from core systems, ensuring that data critical to managingbusiness operations (including existing blind spots) is available on demand using the most appropriate methods and technologies.Balancing short term reporting needs against a medium term strategy will be vital to ensuring that existing reporting is unimpeded by the transformation agenda and it is critical that existing tools such as Power BI are used to their full potential.The role will be supported by a core team supporting business areas as BI Business Partners, as well as some central reporting capability, and will transform reporting and insight within the group, significantly contributing to the success of the groupas a whole.Key Activities & Responsibilities:
