About the Furniture Specialist role:You will efficiently support the end-to-end delivery of furniture projects, from creating the offer (including office furniture 3D CAD Planning & Design drafts), to processing customer requirements and processing orders and aftersales queries. Youll effectivelymanage relationships with customers and local Account Managers, consistently providing excellent service and assisting in achieving the departmental goals for UK&IE, and will provide effective support to help to grow sales, improve profit and develop product/solutionoptimisation.Your responsibilities as our Furniture Specialist will include:
  • Assisting customers with product information, selection, and purchase
  • Creating interior design plans for existing or new spaces - analysing the function of the room with a view to the customers goals and create designs, sketches, plans with computer-aided design software
  • Contacting different vendors to offer the best solution to customers
  • Ensuring and coordinating the process of item set up until delivery of furniture
  • Advising colleagues/sales how to follow up on customer requests
  • Managing the price hold process, including weekly audits
  • Advising colleagues and management on data and insight analysis, data sources, commercial opportunities, market development and insights on related delivery products and services
  • Recording and processing orders and/or enquiries received via all touchpoints and ensuring a correct understanding of the reason for the contact
  • Handling customer complaints in relation to a Furniture project
  • Developing, performing research and maintaining a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the interior design and architecture worlds, maintaining an extensive understanding of all products, services, systems and processes
  • Striving to continually improve the furniture departments sales and profit
  • Constantly monitoring customer feedback to ensure corrective action taken to improve customer satisfaction
What were looking for in our Furniture Specialist:
  • An independent, entrepreneurial can do approach to work; a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running
  • Vocational level of thinking with 4 - 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in process management
  • Customer focus with planning and presentation skills
  • A commercial approach, with a strong customer focus and customer awareness
  • The ability to cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture
  • Competency in Excel with a high level of numeracy
  • A background in B2B Furniture retail would be a distinct advantage
