DMU is embedded within its locality and committed to regular and sustained engagement with the people and organisations within our local communities.It is an exciting time for the Directorate as we are about to launch our new Engagement Strategy which will align our work to the new Empowering University strategy which seeks to empower our students, staff and partners to create a fairer society. We willbe committing to increasing our fundraising and alumni engagement to support the new direction of the university and to establish partnerships with purpose that support the delivery of our vision and mission.Role We are seeking a Fundraising Officer (Regular Giving) to join our Development and Alumni team. We will look to the new post-holder to revamp our regular giving programme, and take DMU in a step-change in broad-based support of our charitable endeavors.We are seeking an enthusiastic colleague to join a highly ambitious team, to help drive forward philanthropic support for DMU. The successful candidate will work with the Development and Fundraising Manager, and the Deputy Director of Engagement, to formulatea new strategy to significantly enhance our regular giving programme.We are seeking enthusiastic applicants who would like to take on this ambitious and exciting challenge and break new ground in fundraising approaches.Ideal CandidateTo succeed in this role, you will have: A good level of education, degree level or equivalent; excellent communication skills both written and spoken; experience of fundraising software and databases, ideally Raisers Edge; an understanding of the importanceof philanthropic giving; empathy for the goals of De Montfort University and an understanding of some of the current challenges facing Higher Education.
