Job Description

Finance ManagerLeicesterC £35,000 p.a. DOE

  • The Company:ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, a Leicester based manufacturer who are going from strength to strength! Due to their successes they are now seeking a confident Finance Manager who will bring to the table excellent attention to detail, an energetic attitude and a strong decision maker who can both appreciate direction and distribute this across their team.Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
  • Production of the monthly management accounts for group companies/reports and reconciliation of all balance sheet nominal control accounts
  • Monthly journals for intercompany payments/receipts, accruals, prepayments and deprecation
  • Processing intercompany transactions and invoices
  • Manage the Group banking, including allocating payments and receipts.
  • Compiling and submitting VAT returns, ensuring all HMRC obligations are met
  • Dealing with all aspects of the company pension, including submissions, payments, salary updates, cyclical re-enrolment and any other pension duties as required
  • Assistance with processing and submission of payroll on a weekly and monthly basis/Holiday cover to fully process payroll when required
  • Assistance with processing payroll year end
  • Gathering information and processing P11Ds
  • Overseeing credit control, credit checking and customer account management
  • Perform various reconciliations and analysis as required
  • Manage working capital and produce forecasts as and when required
  • Carry out various costing exercises as required by the Company. Calculate Overhead Absorption rates and drill down into relevant financial data as required.
  • Work with the finance assistant to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department
  • Cover the finance assistants’ duties as and when required; to include processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, timesheet transactions, credit cards, payment runs etc.
  • Taking calls and dealing with customer and supplier accounts queries
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by the Finance Director
  • About You as the Finance Manager:
  • Previous Finance Management experience.
  • Minimum AAT qualified
  • Experience using Sage 50 and Sage Payroll
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Software, particularly Outlook and Excel (producing spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables and vlookups).
  • Familiarity and experience of producing cashbooks.
  • Ability to handle pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when producing work.
  • Discretion, trustworthiness and confidence.
