Job Description

A fantastic Lead opportunity has come available in an international Multi-Disciplinary working on Major Highways Projects.This consultancy is looking for a Drainage Lead in Leicester to take the helm of an established design team and lead the drainage design on projects such as the A52, a £3m 2 year project, a number of improvement schemes valued at £150k +.You will need to have expert knowledge of detailed design using MicroDrainage in order to be able to lead this team effectively as you will be responsible for the technical output and client liaison surrounding your teams work. Drainage Lead Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of technical leadership of projects
  • Proven experience of commercial leadership of projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a desire to lead, a collaborative approach to problem solving and a proven ability to deliver positive outcomes
  • Experience of managing the design and input of other disciplines
  • Strong experience and a sound knowledge and understanding of highways and drainage infrastructure
  • Your technical knowledge extends to the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage, including the technical review and approval of designs prepared by others
  • You will be fully conversant with sewerage sector guidance (formerly Sewers for Adoption), The CIRIA SuDS Manual, building regulations, local authority and industry design standards
  • Able to demonstrate success of leading negotiations with statutory authorities
  • Commitment to encouraging good health and safety practices within the workplace and within design
  • Ability to mentor, encourage and support others
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Willing to apply for security clearance
