Job Description

Flexible Full & Part-Time Dementia Friend & Companion Job Vacancy, Leicester, Leicestershire - No experience needed- You do need to BE A CAR DRIVER with your own car.Do something amazing this year, become a Dementia Friend & Companion and give a positive outcome to someones day, theres no better feeling. With a minimum of 1-hour visits, and regular clients you will build trusting relationships, combatting lonelinessfor the older adults in your community. We welcome applications from all age groups (no upper limit) and previous occupations, we will provide you with full training and support you along the way. Caring in your Community If you live in communities of Leicester, Rothley, Beaumont Leys, Wigston, Anstey, Kirby Muxloe, Ibstock, Markfield and surrounding areas, we would love to welcome you to our team. Key Information

  • £10.50 - £11.00 per hour, plus mileage & paid travel time.
  • Flexible Hours Available.
  • Excellent, full training & support is provided.
  • Support towards further qualifications such as City & Guilds dementia & Alzheimers.
Matching You & The Role You will be carefully matched and introduced to the person you will be supporting, and you will build a lasting, trusting relationship together. Your visits will never be rushed, and they are never less than an hour, meaning you spend quality time with theperson we match you with. As a Dementia Friend & Companion no two days are the same, as each of our clients are unique. The role is so rewarding as you are truly making a difference to someones life, enabling them to remain at home, in the place they cherishthe most. You could-
  • Assisting with daily routine including mornings, lunchtimes, and evenings.
  • Assisting with personal care where required - we will talk you through this.
  • Taking clients out shopping or attending local groups, events, or appointments.
  • Preparing meals and light household duties.
  • Being someone, they can rely on.
