Dementia AdvisorContract Type: Fixed TermLocation: Community BasedSalary: £20,872- £22,143 actual per annum (depending on skills and experience)Working Hours: 35 per weekClosing Date: 20 April 2022Interview Date: Week commencing 25 April 2022 (virtual interview)Do you have experience supporting with people affected by dementiaDo you consider yourself confident and well organisedDo you feel you possess outstanding people skills with the ability to network effectively and build strong, trusting relationshipsAre you enthusiastic, outgoing, and resilient individual looking for a varied and rewarding careerIf this sounds like you then were offering a great opportunity to be part of our team!We are looking to recruit a motivated and compassionate individual with a good understanding of dementia and the needs of those affected by the condition, to support our work in Leicestershire.The aim of this role will, initially, be to promote and grow our Singing for the Brain service in the area, including managing the volunteers who support this activity. You will also be actively involved in partnership working including linking into dementiafriendly communities across the county. Your excellent communication and listening skills will ensure you engage effectively with a wide range of organisations and individuals, including prospective funders, partners, stakeholders and supporters.You will be engaging with people at all levels across the area, so great networking and community development skills are essential, as is the ability to recognise and seize opportunities presented to you. You will be committed to putting people affected bydementia at the heart of everything we do, to make our service the best it can be.
