A manufacturer of critical solutions to the aerospace, defence and technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Cost Accountant. A qualified Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the operations and commercial management teams ensuring the businessdelivers profitable growth in line with its strategic initiatives. You must have strong communication and analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.Commutable from: Leicester, Coventry, Lutterworth, Derby, Nottingham, Hinckley, Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 50,000 p.a. + benefitsSuitable for: Cost Accountant, Accountant, Managing Accountant, Financial Accountant. Finance Manager, Finance ControllerThe RolePreparing and analysing monthly operational results; working closely with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances.Finance lead for company product costing reviews/changes.Liaising with Operations team to ensure the appropriate E&O provisions are maintained.Take responsibility for annual stock-takes - procedures and booking adjustments.Managing Standard Cost model in Navision in relation to, purchasing and freight burden and recovery rates.Supporting the sales team on pricing decisions with costing information.Providing financial support to the engineering, supply chain and operations teams in VA/VE reviews.Supporting the business areas to prepare capex investment appraisals.Support working capital improvement initiatives.Assisting in the preparation of budgets and monthly forecasts.The PersonACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.Prior experience in a manufacturing or similar operations-based business.Navision experience would be desirable.Highly competent in using MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel.Be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.Self-motivated with a can do attitude.Continuous improvement mindset.For more information and to apply for the role of Cost Accountant, send a CV to Alex Price
