Job Description

Reed Secure are recruiting for a highly unique opportunity offering you an abundance of variety where no two days are the same!The opportunity is with our client, a Coroners Office based in Leicester!If a diverse workload is your thing, then this could be just the job for you! Therell be all kinds of people to deal with, from GPs and local authorities to the bereaved. Whoever youre talking to, youll pride yourself on providing a professional and sensitiveservice.As a Coroners Officer you will confirm and certify deaths and carry out inquests if necessary. You may be involved in following up homicides, accidents, deaths in custody and routine medical referrals. Your task will be to support the coroner in their dutiesevery day, following directions, helping with investigations, and managing reported death cases. Its work that will bring you into contact with the police, the NHS, GPs, HM Prison Service, local authorities and most importantly, bereaved families. Youllprovide information about the coronial process, answer questions and explain statutory requirements.The ideal individual will be someone who has some experience in an investigatory role, highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage changing demands.Its also important that youre good with people, great in a team and naturally resilient, approachable, understanding and a problem solver, youll give accurate information and diffuse difficult situations.This is a full-time opportunity MondayFriday, hours of work can be 0900-1700 or 0830-1630 and there will be a mixture of working from the office as well as home.An hourly rate of pay of £13.44-£!4.59 is offered depending upon experience.
