Job Description

My client is looking to appoint a Commercial Data Analyst to support revenue management & pricing activity within a fast-paced data driven environment. Your expertise will demonstrate a track record producing analysis and high-level reporting to supportrevenue optimisation & pricing strategy, whilst ensuring existing market segments are shaped to ensure profitability.Key responsibilities for this position:

  • Managing & driving commercial analysis to measure profitability and support new business case proposals
  • Provide analytically led recommendations to optimise pricing strategy and pricing tactics
  • Commercial Forecasting - establish sales and revenue forecasts for each market segment making recommendations for price / product availability
  • Undertaking BAU reporting responsibilities, such as pricing adjustments, inventory management, promotional activities, and output of KPI and forecasting reports
  • Deliver wider insightful commercial analysis as / when required by the leadership team
  • Supporting the development and maintenance revenue management process and tools
  • Devise and deliver regularly Yield reports to identify revenue performance
  • Recommending & implementing income-enhancing product and service improvements across the product portfolio
Job requirements:
  • Relevant experience operating in a commercial analysis role covering forecasting, revenue modelling and analytically led business case assessments
  • Highly numerate and analytical; comfortable writing reports and making succinct, data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly slot in to a high-performing, multi-faceted team that works at a demanding pace
  • Influencing key decision makers and communicating effectively at all personnel levels
  • Supporting the identifying income opportunities (via analysis), and implementing successful change initiatives
  • Remaining self-motivated and resilient, with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent experience and the capability to build third party relationships quickly
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to analyse complex scenarios and solve problems, formulate recommendations, and communicate them effectively to senior management
  • Customer focus: understanding the needs of internal and external customers and responding promptly
  • Completing work to a high level of accuracy and detail, maintaining focus, energy, and effort when under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including high level Excel skills)
  • Experience using other industry leading BI & Statistical tools would be highly advantageous (SPSS, Tableau, SAS etc.)
Salary is in the region £27000 - £32000 Remote working with circa 1 day per week in Leicesterire office.
