Job Description

JOB- CNC ProgrammerLOCATION-Leicester TERM- Permanent SALARY- £28,000 - £32,000 per annum Premier Group are recruiting for a CNC Machinist with either Milling or Turning experience, on a permanent basis, inLeicester.Experience with Setting, Operating and Programming would be ideal. The CNC Programmer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering / Manufacturing
  • Have experience machining and manufacturing precision parts and components
  • Previous experience working as a CNC Operator / Machinist / Miller / Turner – ideally with experience in Alphacam and V Carve
  • Be able to read from engineering drawings
  • Advantageous to have AutoCAD experience
  • Have previous experience working in a similar Machine Shop environment
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Be happy to work the alternating weekly shifts
The CNC Programmer will involve:
  • Working with CNC machinery and producingmetal
  • Running multiple machines – small to medium batch work
  • Inspecting components as required
  • CNC Milling or Turning working with varied controls
  • Reading from engineering drawings
  • Adhering to company H&S requirements
  • Have a flexible approach to work
