The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the country and, due to service expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Nuclear Medicine physicist to join our multidisciplinary Nuclear Medicine team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The service covers activities across the three Leicester Hospital sites: Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital and Leicester General sites, and also provide support to the onsite Alliance Medical PET-CT centre. The Nuclear Medicine service has 4 gamma cameras (two with SPECT/CT capability, one solid state cardiac camera and one general purpose camera due for replacement) and provides MPE support for the Alliance run PET-CT centre. The department also operates a non-imaging service, an on-site radiopharmacy and an expanding molecular radiotherapy service. We support research and development within the Trust, have links with local Universities and are an accredited training centre. Candidates must be a qualified Clinical Scientist and registered with the HCPC. Applicants working towards HCPC registration will be considered and initially appointed on annex U of band 6 until registration is achieved.Leicester is a vibrant, multicultural city with good transport links and is within easy reach of the Peak District countryside and London by train. For further details / informal visits contact:Lisa Rowley - lisa.rowley@uhl-tr.nhs.uk -
