Job Description

We are looking for driven individuals to join our successful team due to an exciting period of growth & wed love for you to build your career alongside us.Job Title: Claims Handler - InterventionDepartment: Intervention - Hire Monitoring TeamHours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week, between the hours of 08:00 - 19:00Location: You will work on a Hybrid basis. A few days from home and then a few from our vibrant office is based in Leicester City Centre, right next to the train centreSalary: Starting £22,000 with the opportunity to earn up to £24,000What does the job entailThe Intervention team is responsible for providing vehicle and repair solutions to third parties following an accident when our policyholder is at fault. By successfully intervening, we are able to not only control our costs, but also control the customerexperience. Your main duties will include:

  • Servicing inbound and outbound phone calls from third parties, customers, third party representatives and providing a professional service within the company SLA.
  • Supporting customers through their claims journey with Hastings.
  • Managing third party customer vehicle and hire claims in the most commercially effective way.
  • Negotiating with representatives and third parties in-line with the departments terms of engagement and challenge the need for hire.
  • Protecting the company against hire costs through effectively monitoring the hire.
  • Ensuring all costs are kept to a minimum and are not subject to any leakage.
  • Ensuring reserves are created accurately

  • A claims background is not necessary, we see many skills as transferrable, if you have a background in a similar role, such as a call centre, sales or retail would love to hear from you
  • Great communication skills with the ability to negotiate and make decisions
