Job Description

Are you an experienced professional in the claims environment Our client, a leading player in the insurance industry, is seeking a dynamic Claims Handler to join their company. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team, ensuringthe seamless processing of claims while upholding high standards of customer service.As a Claims Handler, you will:

  • Accurately record and analyse information to validate and proceed with claims.
  • Negotiate, settle, and/or repudiate claims within delegated limits of authority, referring complex cases to underwriters with recommendations.
  • Adhere to agreed procedures and protocols under Delegated Authority Schemes.
  • Maintain client/departmental emails and manage diary systems through effective written and oral communications.
  • Service calls, maintain professional relationships with loss adjusters, insurers, and other claims professionals.
  • Keep abreast of industry news and developments to ensure current technical knowledge.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Excellent written and spoken English and strong mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Drive, self-determination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in the property sector (especially private rented sector) is beneficial, along with a basic understanding of the insurance or financial services industry.
