Job Description

Business AnalystFull Time / PermanentHybrid / Leicester£35,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience plus bonus and comprehensive benefitsThe CompanyMy client is an established and award winning FinTech business who are experiencing significant growth. The are looking for 2 Business Analysts to join their Product teams and are open to hiring driven junior BAs as well as more experienced BAs.The RoleAs a Business Analyst, you will be skilled in gathering requirements from both internal and external stakeholders, assessing requirements to determine the most viable and user focused solution, liaising with third party providers to ensure integration pointsare optimal and continuously assess and steer ongoing development.You will be encouraged to function as Product Owner for projects that you are involved with and as an SME on released functionality. As a key link you will work closely with the Development and QA teams, Development Manager and Account Management as wellas managing external stakeholders.We are looking for the successful candidates to be on site at my clients head office in Leicester 2 days per week.Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the collection and understanding of business and functional requirements from both internal and client sources
  • Producing high quality documentation from business/project requirements to functional specifications and user stories
  • Guiding, supporting and challenging stakeholders to help formulate ideas for business change, fully refining derived requirements producing and documenting the agreed solution. Delivering any change or solution following accepted Project Management methodology
  • Acting as the single point of contact for the projects managed
  • Maintaining clear communications with regards to requirements during the project lifecycle
  • Acting as the subject matter expert on project work elements, thus supporting the development, QA and UAT phases
  • Following on from the above, ensuring knowledge transfer to other areas of the business prior to releases
  • Working with the Product Director, Developers, and QA Analysts throughout the project lifecycle to drive correct processes
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and liaison
Skills and Experience required
  • Previous experience and track record working as a Business Analyst
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
  • Good understanding of the SDLC along with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within pre-set project time frames
  • A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
