Job Description

Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator, £22,000-24,000 per annum, 28 days leave, pensionPosition: Bookkeeper/Payroll AdministratorLocation: LeicesterSalary: £22000 - £24000 per annumBenefits: 28 days leave (incl. bank hols)Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.00 with 45 minutes lunch breakWe are delighted to be working with an established Chartered Accountant firm who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator to join their office-based team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to progress in theirin a friendly and lively environment.Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator:

  • Liaising directly with clients
  • Working with Sage Line 50
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts
  • Assisting payroll manager to process payrolls using SAGE software
  • Processing of SMP, SSP and pension contribution
  • Processing P45 and P60 forms
  • Ensure payroll details are regularly updated and maintained
Required Skills of Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator:
  • Experience in working within an accountancy environment or similar is desirable
  • Experience in submission of VAT returns, bookkeeping and accounts
  • Must enjoy both working as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to multitask and organise are essential
  • Experience in using bookkeeping software, such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks is beneficial
