The nature and extent of support you will provide is broad and varied and candidates will need to have extensive knowledge of research techniques and a strong understanding of current social media platforms and basic website design. Alongside running the day to day activity within the Resource Centre, your role will require you to support students by: - Having extensive knowledge of 3D printing and soft modeling techniques- Provide updates with regards to the latest Art and Design news and job opportunities through our website and extensive social media platforms.As an Architecture Technician you will provide full technical support service to students and staff, including training, practical assistance and advice on the use of equipment and appropriate process and techniques. You will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and management of the Resource Centre including ensuring compliance with DMU Health & Safety Policy as it applies to their work area and activities. All staff are also expected to understand the need to put students first and to be proactive in improving the support that students receive. Ideal Candidate You will have a good standard of general education with a qualification in Art and Design related subject. You will have experience of working within a research environment and have knowledge of both contemporary and traditional practice in Art & Design.Ideal CandidateTo succeed, you will have a good standard of general education with a qualification in a Architecture, Design or Craft related subject.
