Job Description

Were delighted to present the opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team at a leading design consultancy in Leicester. The company is well-reputed in its industry and is known for developing innovative products for major brands on a worldwide scale.As the first point of contact at the company, your role will be to take enquiries by telephone, and welcome visitors to the premises, whilst also providing a range of basic administration support.The role has the potential to grow with the company so there may be opportunity in time to take on additional responsibilities.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing the first point of contact and hospitality for clients and visitors
  • Answering the telephone, greeting and directing each caller to the appropriate contact
  • Answering the door, greeting clients and visitors, and directing them to appropriate meeting room or contact
  • Administering the post each day
  • Providing support to the Senior Administrator and Administration Manager, including but not limited to: sourcing and purchasing stationery and refreshments, goods in/ out controls, booking couriers/ taxis, arranging flights/ hotels/ currency and maintaining health & safety records
  • Skills and experience required:
  • Minimum 5 GCSE A-C/ 9-5 including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Qualified, or demonstrates a good level of knowledge in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook/email)
  • Previous practical experience in office processes, for example, reception duties, health and safety records etc
  • Professional client-facing and telephone manner essential
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to find solutions to administration related problems
  • Ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate own workload
  • Approaches work with enthusiasm, ensuring clear communication with Senior Administrator/ Administration Manager at all times
  • Works co-operatively with colleagues, as part of a team, making self available to support others
  • Provides good verbal and written communication to clients, suppliers and/or colleagues
  • Acts promptly to resolve customer problems whether client, supplier or colleague
  • Some flexibility may occasionally be required with days and hours worked, provided reasonable notice
  • Hours of work:
  • Full Time Monday - Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
