Please ensure you have the right to live and work in the UK before applying.Job title: Activities Co-ordinatorLocation: Sturdee Community Hospital, 58-62 Runcorn Road, Leicester, LE2 9FSRate Of Pay: £11.50Shift Patterns: Full time, 40 hours per week, DaysInformation about the Role:Working as an Activities Coordinator at Sturdee Community Hospital your duties will include the following:· To lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice, and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.· To create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy.· To work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly.· To engage the local community into the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups enabling residents to partake / continue with hobbies and interests as desired.Necessary Experience / Qualifications to work as an Activities Coordinator:· Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people.· Ideally 6-months experience as a Care Activities Coordinator or 1 year working as an experienced Support Worker/ Healthcare Assistant / Domiciliary Carer.· Ability to work on a shift/rota pattern.· Have the right to the work in the UKInformation about the Service:Sturdee Community Hospital offers a flexible environment designed to support each patient’s progress along their rehab pathway.
