Job Description

Whats in it for mePeople Solutions are looking to employ an Internal Sales Manager with drive and ambition to enable their business to grow its market share. The successful candidate will have a technical or engineering background and the ability to understand technical requirementsWorking with a mature and experienced team, based in North Leicester, the person will need to be able to demonstrate a broad range of skills and fulfil the key role of communicating with new and existing customers. A positive and bright personality is essential,as is a good technical understanding. The ability to spot an opportunity is a must.You will also be required to take on board all aspects of compliance within the medical and military component supply sectors, although training will be given on this aspect.Its likely that candidates will have good computer literacy, and ideally with a working knowledge of SAP.Clear progression path and opportunity for promotion.This is a Full Time Job working Monday-FridayDay to Day Duties

  • To formulate a sales and marketing strategy appropriate to the planned direction of the business, in collaboration with the Directors
  • To apply the strategy using the available tools and resources
  • To introduce ideas and additional marketing tools to ensure growth
  • To provide quotations for specific requirements for the UK & overseas, working in GBP/USD/EUR
  • To take an overview of our pricing strategy
  • To manage and introduce web-based marketing tools as appropriate
  • To take ownership for exhibition attendance, typically 1-2 per year, arranging resources
  • To coordinate mass communication with customers and potential customers, to keep them informed of products and services which we can offer
  • To become Champion of the medical product range introducing additional products, and staying up to date with the products which our suppliers can offer
  • To produce or manage the production of product literature including catalogues, fliers in paper and computerised formats
Essential Skills
  • Is likely to have a degree level qualification or extensive experience in a similar role in a small business
  • Will be from an engineering or technical background, and be able to understand battery principles and technology
  • Will be able to confidently undertake detailed technical discussions with potential and existing customers, and be able to guide them to achievable solutions
  • Forward thinking, with the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
  • Possesses the ability to provide authoritative leadership
  • Previous use of SAP desirable but not essential
  • Articulate and presentable, confident and convincing, with a personality to enable engagement with a broad range of customers
  • Possesses a current driving license
  • Has the drive and ambition to grow the business
