Wellbeing PhysiologistLocation: Leeds, West YorkshireSalary: Very Competitive + Excellent BenefitsJob Type: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours, between 8am and 6pm on a rota basisKey Skills / Requirements: Wellbeing Physiologist, Physiologist, Occupational health, degree level or equivalent in Sports Science/Health Science/Exercise Physiology/Sports TherapyThe Client:Our client’s Healthcare Company is one of the UK’s leading providers of occupational health services. Established by a group of occupational health professionals, they have experienced strong, steady growth. Their clients include leading names across a widerange of sectors. Our client’s team brings together many of the UK’s finest practitioners and teachers in all relevant healthcare disciplines.The Role:I am looking for talented individuals from a range of backgrounds to support this unique and exciting project. Candidate backgrounds may include sports science, sports therapists, nutritional experts, sports rehabilitators and exercise physiology.As a Wellbeing Physiologist, you will support patients living with lifestyle induced disease to make positive and sustainable lifestyle choices for enhanced chronic disease management, The role will be working from home, with frequent regional travel included.Duties:

  • Conduct lifestyle clinical assessments of patients, considering their health profile and stage of behavior change.
  • Provide evidence-based advice tailored to patients health profile, including adiposity, biochemistry, and blood screening results.
  • Develop and implement written action plans based on treatment prescriptions, modifying them according to the patients stage of change.
  • Set positive and realistic goals for patients and coach them to reach their full potential.
  • Offer assistance and reassurance to clients during medical tests.
  • Utilise specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests.
  • Record and analyse physiological data for evaluation and monitoring purposes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a sport, medical, health, wellbeing, or fitness environment is required.
  • Must possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Sports Science/Health Science/Exercise Physiology/Sports Therapy.
  • Academic background in subjects such as human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, or nutrition is preferred.
