Job Description

Union Industries is the market leading manufacturer of world renowned Industrial High-Speed Doors. Due to our continued expansion programme, we are looking to hire an enthusiastic individual who has an excellent work ethic and good problem-solving skillsto work in our Fabrication Shop.This position will suit a multi-skilled person who has a natural ability to work well with their hands and is able to use their own initiative to produce quality products.The role will be wide and varied, covering a multitude of tasks to include but not limited to:
  • Door preparation including Mig welding, metal drilling, tapping, cutting and assembling our full range of High Speed doors
and other products within our manufacturing scope.
  • Working to production deadlines
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Quality checking own work
.Working full-time (39 hours) and based at our Leeds factory, the successful person will have experience and qualifications in Mig welding and the ability to use automated machinery and hand tools. Be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and possessgood communication and organisational skills together with a willingness to learn and develop. Requirements also include the ability to keep accurate time records of all work undertaken & also the willingness to work overtime as and when the workload dictates.
