Job Description

As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing and refining the warehouse operations to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch.Client DetailsAs a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing and refining the warehouse operations to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch.DescriptionThe Senior Warehouse Operations Manager role will require the individual to:

  • Report to the Site General Manager (or similar).
  • Manage a team of 300+ operatives through 3 direct reports, at a Shift Manager level across various shifts.
  • Be responsible for inbound, pick and outbound operations.
  • Have full control of the operating budget for headcount.
  • Be responsible for the inventory management through your teams.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the daily analysis, reporting and performance metrics are adhered to.
  • Full site H&S control.
  • Accountable for people development and performance management within the operation.
  • Commutable to Leeds.
ProfileThe successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:
  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential.
  • Be educated to an A Level or Degree Level standard - Advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3+ years Logistics experience at a Shift Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager or Assistant General Manager level - Essential.
  • Have worked within a Retail / E-Commerce / FMCG or Food warehousing environment previously - Essential.
  • Exposure to Semi-Automated / Automated warehousing environment - Essential.
  • Have managed in excess of 150+ employees indirectly before - Essential.
  • Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 / Continuous Improvement methodologies - Advantageous.
  • A competent user of Microsoft packages including Excel, along with the ability to up skill quickly around WMSs - Essential.
  • Experience on managing budgets up to £10m+ per year - Advantageous.
  • Be results driven and commercially minded.
  • Be commutable to Leeds.
*** Must be flexible around the shift pattern as described (Sunday - Wednesday, 3 days / 4 days rotating) ***Job Offer
  • Salary: £46,000 per annum.
