Job Description

Veneer PreparerStarting hourly rate £11-12 per hourFull Time; PermanentLeeds LS10,West YorkshireProfileOur client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established 23 years and is the market leader in the manufacture of furniture for the Hospitality Industry. They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton,Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.The business continues to go from strength to strength, due to expansion and growth within the business, they are currently recruiting for General Operatives.The company operates within a dynamic and fast paced environment. Therefore, they are looking for punctual, courteous, and reliable people to join their expanding company.Job PurposeTo work with the architectural drawings to enable you to accurately cut the veneers and join leaves together.Responsibilities but not limited to: -

  • Ability to read Architectural Drawings before cutting out veneer
  • Selection and marking up veneer layers
  • Cutting of veneers with a high degree of accuracy
  • Joining veneer leaves together
  • Creating intricate patterns and designs that can run through multiple panels
Essential Skills: -
  • Previous experience of working in this area
  • Basic Health and Safety awareness
  • Willing to work as a team
  • Have ability to work to a high standard of quality
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
  • Have the ability to use your own initiative
Desirable
  • Worked in a manufacturing business.
  • Can read architectural drawings and have some experience in veneer preparation
This is a permanent position and ideal for someone wanting to develop their skills.
