Headford are pleased to be working with a fantastic company who are now looking for a UK Operations Manager to join the team to manage the centralised UK Import Operations team. You will need to further develop new processes and procedures to ensure all tasks completed are documented and handled in the most efficient way. This role will support in wider CW initiatives to ensure system use is maximised and a standardised process is followed.Responsibilities to include:• Support cultural change, People & Technology; Openness and Efficiency• Key player in developing the central freight operations team and strategy• Manage team with regards PDP, Training, Mentoring etc• Motivate team to ensure excellent operational performance is achieved• Work closely with CW team on training manuals for UK process and support roll outs of new processes.• To work closely with Global Operations Teams to ensure a joined-up method of working and process• Assist in achieving agreed KPI performance• Focus on Job Management controls with emphasis on margin management and result accuracy• Manage receipt of bills of lading and authorise system release• Manage weekly close cycles and ensure accuracy of reported figures• Complete weekly / monthly closes and close files• Support Freight Ops Manager in developing new workflows and work practices to aid efficiency• Support CS team on Operational questions, queries • Update CS Team on issues / queriesKey Skills/Experience• Full knowledge of end to end ocean operational processes (5+ years’ experience within the industry)• Cargowise• 2+ years in a similar Management role• Process driven and minded• Change focussed• Team PlayerContact Michaela today if you have the relevant experience and would like to be considered for this role.
