Reed Leeds Business Support are currently recruiting on behalf of an established organisation based in Leeds, our client is looking for a Transport Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the efficient management of theteam of drivers and fleet and for ensuring their fleet is properly maintained and serviced at all times. As the Transport Manager you will also need to fully understand current national and international legislation associated with the role.Duties: Ensure an efficient vehicle defect reporting system is in place and managed Plan vehicle and plant maintenance Ensure all vehicles and plant are operated in a roadworthy condition Oversee correct vehicle maintenance procedures Ensure vehicles are booked in and presented for MOTs on the correct dates Monitor external maintenance contractors Monitor OCRS scores and encounter reports Maintain and audit maintenance records ensuring they are kept for 15 months Ensure drivers conduct daily walk round checks efficiently Advise and instruct the operator to maintain compliance around operating legislation Ensure and oversee the implementation of an effective vehicle and plant defect reporting system Ensure vehicles are presented for PMIs on the correct dates Liable for any shortcomings in maintenance and PG9s or PG13s issued Investigate accidents and liaise with the fleet insurance policy providersRequirements Ideally you will hold an International CPC licence. The minimum you must hold is a National CPC licence You will be an excellent communicator with both verbal and written skills Good working knowledge of computers, Excel, and Microsoft Office software Flexible in your approach Ability to prioritise and work under pressure as this is a demanding roleBenefits Company Car Company Pension Scheme Annual holiday and bank holiday entitlement Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
