Job Description

Trainee Fire Door Fitter / Carpenter Permanent Role£22K - £25K + Benefits You will be working alongside a Qualified Carpenter My client is a leading contractor operating within the passive fire protection market, delivering fire door installation and fire compartmentation projects ranging from £1k to £2m. These include high and low rise domestic and commercial propertieswithin the private and public sector including Student Accommodation, Retail and Office space, and Commercial Properties.We are currently looking to recruit 4 Trainee Fire Door Fitters / Carpenters to work on projects in the area. You will be working alongside an experienced Fire Door Fitter, who will spend time training you up regarding fitting fire doors.You will be working on live / occupied buildings doing full Fire Door installs and remedial works. Removal of existing doors / frames and installation of new full door sets.What will you learn

  • Site measurement/surveys to measure and condition check for replacement or repairable fire doors
  • Installation of Fire doors and carrying out repairs in line with test evidence to demonstrate compliance
  • Removal of existing sets
  • Liaising with clients for access
  • Ensure materials are stored and transported in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines
Qualifications / Experience Required:
  • We are looking for Carpenters that have recently passed their NVQ level 2 or apprenticeship with 1 - 2 years site experience.
