Job Description

Do you have good analytical skills Are you able to work to strict deadlines This well established business are industry leaders and supply their products across the globe. Due to continued growth they are looking for a buyer/expediter to join the supply chain team. You will play a huge role in your team, and the wider companys success. In this role you will work within the operations team, supporting the production and manufacturing facility. You will liaise with suppliers, building on current relationships and growing new ones. You will be provided with an excellent training programme andbe mentored by senior staff. One of your main tasks will be to source critical components and identifying cost savings, within the current supply chain. The ideal candidate will have existing experience working closely with stakeholders, with a desire to learn and develop into a senior/strategic buyer position. The Role:

  • Trainee Buyer/Expediter
  • Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Research new suppliers and actively support dual sourcing supplier activity.
  • Follow up overdue purchase orders and work towards improving on supplier lead times.
  • Act as a link between suppliers and internal customers
