Test Manager (Front End Quality Engineering)BankingRemote - meetings onsite 1 or 2 days per quarter9 months£550 per dayIn short: Banking client looking for 2 Test Managers to assist in digitising their various front end offerings. Key requirements; Senior stakeholder management, reporting, metrics gathering, handling 3rd party suppliers (onshore and offshore),excellent communication between techy and non-techy stakeholders.The teams purpose is to create an industry leading experience to help our customers with their insurance needs. We strive to achieve this goal by improving our customer journey with new features and tech, simplifying our customer journeys and improving infrastructure.About the Role:The role of the Test Manager will be to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards through the efficient use of test automation, attention to detail, Agile delivery and a focus on the customer.Youll have a track record in modern Quality Engineering and introduction of 3rd Party tooling. Youll be at ease with relevant tooling and have a laser focus on shipping high quality features with great delivery flow.Youll have strong interpersonal skills, proven development and support experience with a thirst for developing yourself and others to maximise their potential.You will be:* Leading, Innovating & working as part of an agile team* Use your experience of modern software development toolsets and demonstrate the ability to stretch into DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines* Defining and Leading Quality Engineering and Assurance work ensuring the highest quality of shippable products and quality artifacts.* Express your own opinions, and be pragmatic about modifying them when appropriate* Work "hands-on" alongside all other Engineering Disciplines* Model the behaviors required to support the organisations transformation to new ways of working* Use an automation first Test approach with a passion for driving efficiency and a focus on reducing risk* Logical and creative thinking skills* Ability to work independently and to take ownership - and uses own initiative* Work with a range of internal and external colleagues* Communicate effectively in a variety of situations* Maintain productive, professional and secure working environmentWhat we would like to see from you:* A solid Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background with a good knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Test Tools. This includes a good awareness of Test Data and Environments* Be able to project and implement "Automation first" approach in every phase of software delivery process that aids speed to market, better quality and reduces risks.* Experience with toolsets including Selenium, Cucumber, GitHub, Postman, JIRA and confluence; with a willingness to learn where necessary* Work in cross-disciplinary feature teams delivering exciting customer driven solutions and high quality software.* Showcase excellent interpersonal and communications skills whilst expertly working across the project lifecycle to ensure software operates as intended.* Be very comfortable and experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and technical understanding* Exercise responsibility, autonomy and judgement within broad, but well defined parameters.* Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well defined, complex and often non-routine.* Be a quick learner with a growth mindset adapting to new technologies being used within Lloyds and the wider industry whilst bringing those around them on the same journey.* Significant problem solving, fixing and analytical skills* Understand the importance of quality* Experience of leading test teams, test management, Coordination of testing across our partnersCandidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.
