Job Description

My client is looking for a proactive and dependable Technical Writer to join their growing Development team. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, and other resources that help their customers understandand use their products. Working closely with the Product, Development, and Customer Experience teams, you will gather information and ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to understand.They are looking for somebody who is focused with high attention to detail skills as they take responsibility for organising, maintaining and continually updating all technical documentation in their knowledge base.What youll be doing:

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for their SAAS platform, including user manuals, API documentation, release notes, and technical specifications
  • Collaborating with their Development and Product teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation and aligned with their product roadmap and release cycle
  • Liaising with their Support teams to ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and fit for purpose for their customers
  • Communicating with their marketing team to ensure that technical documentation is clearly written and easily understandable by a wide range of audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Developing a deep understanding of their products and features to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Conducting regular reviews of existing documentation and propose updates and improvements as necessary
  • Organising and maintaining all technical documentation in their knowledge base
  • Ensuring that all technical documentation follows industry standards and best practices for technical writing and documentation
Who they are looking for...
  • Youll have proven experience as a technical writer in a SAAS environment, with a strong understanding of Open API documentation tools, such as Swagger and Stoplight
  • You will be familiar with industry-standard documentation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Youll have an understanding of software technologies including C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL, JSON, Markup and CSS
  • Youll of course need excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Teamed with attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and completeness in all documentation
  • And finally, a proactive, collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
