About the Role The BJSS Academy provides opportunities for early careers to start a career in the technology sector, from apprentices to career changers and everything in between.We also provide technical training internally for cross-skilling existing employees into new technologies such as Data Engineering and Platform Engineering.Do you love to learn new things Are you a creative, innovative thinker who thrives on coming up with better ways to work and learn Does it make your morning when you help someone have a "eureka!" moment and see the light bulbs begin to flashWe are looking for enthusiastic Technical Trainers to join our Academy team and educate people in various technological fields. You will help develop and deliver technical training programs and help others develop skills that will make them better professionals,from apprentices to experienced developers cross-training into new technologies.Technical trainers must be extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude. Additionally, we expect you to be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.The goal is to contribute to the development of people’s technical skills to meet organisational needs.Responsibilities

• Devise technical training programs according to organisational requirements
• Determine course content according to objectives
• Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)
• Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually

About You

• Industry knowledge of Software Engineering (OOP, TDD, Design Patterns, Code Smells, Refactoring, Clean Code, etc)
• Enthusiasm for learning
• Hands-on experience with programming languages including Go, Java, and Typescript
• Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• Adaptable - constantly finding new and engaging ways to relay the same concepts

Desirable

• Previous experience delivering training courses internally or externally.
